New reading experience with “Film Touch” for PocketBook Basic Touch

PocketBook is the first in the world to apply “Film Touch” technology to their capacitive multi-sensor touch screens for eReaders product line, the technology was tested and applied by Obreey Products.

At IFA 2013 in Berlin, PocketBook presented its latest model PocketBook Basic Touch developed by Obreey Products, the latest model from PocketBook is using “Film Touch” technology.

One of the main advantages of the “Film Touch”  technology is the use of very thin plastic film (of 0.2 mm), which is applied on top of the main screen. This allows preserving the E Ink screen’s optical properties , as well as reducing the weight of the device by 12% (compared to similar devices with conventional touch screens ) .
The model also comes packed with a powerful processor , increased RAM size to provide even smoother screen transition and faster response in various applications .
The new reader is also equipped with a 6-inch E Ink Pearl display, 4GB of internal memory and a Micro SD Card Slot  (up to 32GB) .
PocketBook Basic Touch has a modern user interface and multi-sensor touch screen , as well as turning the hardware buttons , which provides the most comfortable reading experience.

Built-in Wi-Fi opens up limitless possibilities not only for reading, downloading content& browsing the Internet , but also for social networking with friends using the “ReadRate” service.
“Dropbox” integration will allow you to instantly synchronize contents to your device over the air , just copy it to dropbox’s folder on your PC . After that, the content will be automatically uploaded to Dropbox server and then synchronized with the device via Wi-Fi.
