Encrypted Text Messages Added to CyanogenMod

Encrypted Text Messages Added to CyanogenMod

This new development will be of interest to those who are always trying to prevent information about their personal life, movements, search history, browser history, etc. being shared without their consent. More specifically, this innovation deals with sent and received messages. The fact is that all text messages, one way or another, are transmitted through an operator, and the operator sees absolutely everything you write in your messages. Of course, it’s highly unlikely that such information would ever be used against you (unless you pose a threat to national security or something similar), but for those in doubt or simply those who are interested, CyanogenMod Inc. has added the ability to securely (or rather, more securely) send and receive encrypted messages to its firmware.

E INK FINA EPD MODULE, FIRST TO BE INSTALLED IN THE POCKETBOOK CAD Reader

E INK FINA EPD MODULE, FIRST TO BE INSTALLED IN THE POCKETBOOK CAD Reader

E Ink® Holdings, “E Ink” (8069.TW), a digital signage and display visionary, today announced the upcoming release of E Ink Fina™, a new thin and lightweight electronic paper display (EPD) technology. Fina will be the first EPD that will go into mass production for small to large format digital paper products based on a thin glass Thin Film Transistor (TFT) technology. In conjunction, today PocketBook also announced PocketBook CAD Reader – the first Fina ePaper Android device designed specifically for displaying drawings generated with Autocad® from Autodesk®.

Fina is a glass based TFT technology that uses a very thin glass substrate to deliver products that are much lighter and thinner than what is possible with standard LCD displays. Fina displays weigh less than 50% of the weight of an equivalent glass based TFT and are less than 50% of the thickness as well. This is particularly important for mobile products requiring larger display areas. A 13.3” Fina display, installed in the Pocket CAD Reader, weighs approximately 60 grams.

The competitions were held from October 14 to 25 in three categories: country with the greatest number of certificates, country with the greatest number of Master certificates, and USA state with the greatest number of certificates. Over 11 million participants from 50 countries took part in the competitions.
The Ukraine was third by number of obtained certificates, beaten by India and the USA.
The USA specialists came in first. At the same time, mature economies such as Germany, Israel and Canada, did not even make the top 10 teams.
Vladimir Seminozhenko, the Chair of the State Agency for Science, Innovations and Informatization, congratulated the Ukrainian IT specialists on this achievement in the Brainbench-2013 international competitions.
“56 Ukrainians proved to be the best in the individual database tests, a number of programming languages, frameworks and graphics. Our IT specialists came second in the world, which is not only the result of the high level of information and communication technologies in the Ukraine, but also proof of the huge potential of the field for the national economy. So now I would like to sincerely congratulate our compatriots on their deserved recognition and to wish them the highest achievements in the future,” said Seminozhenko.
